🚀 About the Project: Dalim
🎨 Inspiration
The idea for Dalim was born from the frustration of juggling multiple platforms to find, edit, and manage design assets. As a designer, I often found myself switching between tools to source icons, adjust templates, or test different fonts. I wanted a single, seamless space where creatives could not only access high-quality resources but also personalize and manage them—all in one place.
🛠️ How I Built It
- Frontend: Built with Next.js and Tailwind CSS for a modern, responsive UI.
- Authentication: Integrated Authjs with Prisma for secure user sign-in and session handling.
- Database: Used PostgreSQL with Prisma ORM to manage users and asset metadata.
- Asset Handling: Implemented Cloudinary for optimized file upload, storage, and delivery.
📚 What I Learned
- Designing a flexible system for varied asset types taught me the importance of modular architecture.
- Creating real-time editing features was complex but essential for user engagement.
- A thoughtful UI/UX is key when balancing simplicity with functionality.
