You’ve all seen flashy AI Videos. Epic sci-fi shots, wild visuals... fun, sure — but often fast, random, and a bit forgettable. At Storybook Studios, we wanted to try something harder. So we asked ourselves: “Can we tell a real story with AI? One with rising tension, emotional depth, and characters we as viewers care about?”
We teamed up with director Peter Thorwarth (of Netflix hits Blood Red Sky, Blood and Gold) and Sebastian Ungrad (The Butcher’s Brain). Together, they directed real actors using motion capture headsets — giving us authentic performances and unbroken emotional flow.
Then we brought it all together: Custom workflows. Dozens of AI tools. Classic filmmaking techniques. All crafted to work not just online, but on the big screen. The result is DAISY. Watch to learn how we made it.
