Dain Project

Inspiration

knowing what to do when your in an new or old place seems to be a very common question among our people today.

What it does

This project takes in user input and gives suggestion on fun actitivites to doin that area, through Dain butterfly platform

How we built it

We used an API called geoapify to help us get the info we need.

Challenges we ran into

Me and my partner are both new to coding and so it was our first time seeing TypeScript and working with API's and therefore most of the day was us learning and figuring out how things work which was tedious, fun, frustrating, and rewarding in the end when our code worked to a degree. We had high ambitions and goals for it but implementing them to the code was just out of our reach this time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are very proud to have our project ultimately working in the end even though it fell short of our goals, we were able to create something we never thought we could create before joining the hackathon.

What we learned

We learned much about using DAIN and also integrating API and coding with TS. We also learned how much we can learn in one day given the right tools and environment.

What's next for Dain Project

Hopefully with more understanding of API's and using TS to code DAIN applications, We can make something unbelievable in the future.
