What I Did β A Minimalist Daily Accomplishments Journal π§ β
π§ Inspiration
Like many developers, I often end my day feeling like I didnβt do "enough" β even if I actually got a lot done.
I wanted a dead-simple way to log daily accomplishments, without the noise of to-do lists, calendars, or productivity apps.
The goal?
Build something that keeps me focused, lets me reflect, and motivates me β without any clutter.
π The Idea
β What did you actually do today?
Thatβs it.
A tiny app where you:
- Write down what you accomplished.
- Tag it (e.g., Work, Personal, Health).
- See your day unfold as a timeline.
- Review your past entries.
No analytics. No gamification. No stress. Just you and your progress.
𧱠How I Built It
I used Bolt.new β an AI-powered platform to kickstart projects fast.
Bolt helped me generate a working frontend in minutes, using modern, clean components and a minimalist vibe.
From there, I:
- Integrated Supabase for:
- Authentication (email login)
- Realtime database storage
- Used Tailwind CSS for styling
- Deployed via Netlify

- 𧩠Supabase (Auth + DB)
- ποΈ TailwindCSS
- π Netlify (Deployment)
- π§ Vanilla JS & HTML (lightweight by design)
π§ββοΈ Challenges I Faced
- Keeping it minimal but useful: Itβs easy to overbuild. I forced myself to say no to features like goals, notifications, or dark mode β at least for v1.
- Supabase setup: Getting row-level security and auth flow right took some tweaking.
- UX micro-decisions: Things like showing timestamps, ordering entries top-down, or designing the tag system took more thought than I expected.
- Naming the app: π Always the hardest part.
π‘ What I Learned
- AI tools like Bolt.new can seriously accelerate idea-to-prototype time β but you still need vision and taste to make it yours.
- Minimalism is hard β every feature you skip needs to be a deliberate decision.
- People need space to reflect, not just tools to plan.

π Final Thoughts
This is a tool I use every day now.
It helps me stay grounded, recognize my progress, and not get lost in the chaos of βwhatβs next.β
If it helps you too β thatβs a win.
