Inspiration
We wanted to create something simplistic, yet something outside of all of our comfort zones. What better way to do that than to dabble in databases?
What it does
Daily Pages is a web-based application with a built-in user authentication system that allows users to create and save journal entries which they can access at any time.
How we built it
We used javascript, HTML and CSS for the front-end and MySQL and Spring Boot for the back-end.
Challenges we ran into
We had a lot of trouble connecting the front-end and back-ends of our system together. Some of our connections are incomplete, so the website has some bugs to squash.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We learned a lot about javascript, mySQL and Spring Boot in a very condensed amount of time. We were able to incorporate all of these systems in meaningful and effective manners to construct as best a web-app as possible.
What we learned
More than just a few languages, we learned about what we were capable of when under extreme pressure, and how we can manage ourselves better on in the future to produce even better code.
