Inspiration

Who doesn't want to learn a bit about the deep ocean, where science hasn't even reached yet? We would like to bridge the gap between the obscure and the public interest to learn without conducting extensive scientific research

What it does

Recommend marine creature daily picture, sound, and short description (future) push notifications for nearby conservation opportunities (volunteer/internships) (future) link to alarm clock so that user can wake up to the AI transformed radio frequency of marine creature (future) donate by roundup option powered by MasterCard API -- each time user makes a purchase, the small changes contribute to saving the ocean

How we built it

With dedication and love, via React-Native, Typescript, and Mastercard API.

Challenges we ran into

Working with cocaopads and react native compatibility with certain libraries were quite tricky. Working against the time crunch to push safe code proved quite challenging as well.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have a prototype for the Daily Marine Creature, compatible both on IOS and android simulators.

What we learned

We learnt a new tech stack: react-native with Typescript along with Mastercard API. We've also learnt to communicate needs and expectations with each other more clearly.

What's next for Daily Marine Life

Interface our app with clock, so that user can wake up to the AI transformed radio frequency of marine creature. Make endpoint more secure for donation by roundup option powered by MasterCard API
