Inspiration
Health, having an app where it does not require internet or connection to data base
What it does
The application takes in user input and it helps track
- Mood
- Social Interaction
- Energy Level
- Free Time
- Exercise
- Diet
- Sleep
- Mensuration
- User Journal Entry
The more data the app collects the more precise it will get. Application will display, in a user friendly graphics. User will be giving a motivational quote when they start up the program. User will get a reminder message if they forget to input data, they will get a message if there are trends apparent.
How we built it
Our skills are limited to Java, however the team voted to use learn Python to use because we wanted to use Pygame to display simple graphics to the user.
Challenges we ran into
Had to learn Python as we built the program. Real life, family, and school responsibilities. Time constraints, there were features that we had planned for the app but had to cut or remove due to time constraints. Merge errors, bugs, program crashing.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
First ever hackathon for my team and I. Learned a lot about the process of building out a application. Getting together a completed project from the limited knowledge know about software development. Working as a team to get the project done.
What we learned
Having a solid plan was key, we also had someone who had a grand vision of the program as a team member. Google was also a helpful tool that we utilized. Managing merges to prevent the errors.
