Inspiration
We all face the same problem everyday... procrastination. So we enlisted the help of Felix, the gif cat
What it does
The user submits a list of tasks to complete by the end of the day, and can submit any names of any applications they want to "blacklist". These applications will be closed by the program if the user tries to open them. Once the user submits the tasks and blacklists, felix will jump right into action and command you to finish what you started. Felix will be delighted when you finish all your tasks by the end of the day (2359hrs) and will be depressed if you don't .
How we built it
python. namely tkinter, pywinctl, pillow
Challenges we ran into
Ideation was easy given the rather simple program we chose to build. The challenging part was trying to debug ... given our limited knowledge of python and the modules used
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Trying to be resourceful, sourcing online for solutions to our problems
What we learned
Reading and understanding the documentation of the different modules used Debugging without GPT works better sometimes
What's next for daily cat crazy manager
Given that it's a relatively simple app, there are a lot of rough edges to iron out, such as efficiency or workflow
Built With
- pillow
- python
- pywinctl
- tkinter
