Inspiration
well i was in class , and while the teacher was explaining about some java principles which i was really not following with i decided to do a side quest , meaning just finding other thing to do, so yeah it just droped to my head to try create an extension , i have already thought of creating one long ago but didn't realy search it up , and here i asked chatgpt and he said it's really as easy as going few lines of js, css, and html and just like that it did this
What it does
it tells dad jokes as simple as that!
How we built it
it's so simple once you click on the extension it does a fetch request to the official dad jokes website and returns a json object that has a joke in it it gets extracted and then out in the popup all while yoou are int he same onglet in just 0.001s
Challenges I ran into
not a big deal actually since this is simple yet my first ever created extension , i had a bit of time trying to fetch data and figuring out how extensions work
Accomplishments that we're proud of
this things as a whole now i really want to make more extensions that does more stuff
What we learned
always don't get intimedated by things you don't know about a few google searches might help you figure it out as simple as that
What's next for dad said
dad said next move , it don't really know but i might just improve on it with design and maybe find more jokes >dad jokes to be exact.
