Inspiration
As we grow older and spend less time with our parents, there are times where we miss the jokes our dads used to tell us when we were younger. This bot aims to fill the hole in your heart by telling you the dad jokes that you probably don't crave :)
What it does
It's a discord bot that tells you dad jokes in your server
How we built it
We used GPT-2 and performed transfer learning on a 0.2 Million large data-set of r/dad_jokes dad jokes. Then used discord.py to create an async api for handling requests in servers.
Challenges we ran into
Training the large data-set, and refining hyper-parameters for the model over a short period of time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We (hopefully) generated jokes that resemble the quirkiness of real dad-jokes.

Key-word specific dad jokes that prompt scenario or context specific dad jokes
