Inspiration
The inspiration for DACP (Digital Asset Control Panel) emerged from the challenges set forth by the Mini Data Cloud Development Hackathon (AWS & Bare Metal). The hackathon's focus on creating efficient, decentralized data clouds ignited our team's enthusiasm to craft a solution that could revolutionize digital asset management within the specified context.
🌐 Project Overview:
DACP (Digital Asset Control Panel) transforms the way you interact with crypto market data, providing dynamic visualizations directly sourced from CoinGecko. Built on a foundation of decentralized data clouds, our solution aligns perfectly with the hackathon's challenge to create an efficient, decentralized, and accessible infrastructure.
📊 Key Features:
Real-time Market Prices
- 24-hour Price Changes
- Total Volumes
- Circulating Supplies
- Twitter Followers
How we built it
The development process prioritized the hackathon's stipulations. The frontend was designed to deliver a user-friendly experience, featuring responsive data visualizations essential for meeting the hackathon challenge's criteria.
Challenges we ran into
The hackathon posed challenges related to data source integration, real-time synchronization complexities, and the implementation of robust security measures within a decentralized framework. Overcoming these hurdles demanded collaborative problem-solving and innovative approaches, all within the hackathon's timeframe.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Successfully integrating real-time data streams into DACP, aligning with the hackathon's specific requirements. The intuitive user interface reflects the commitment to delivering a top-tier control panel tailored precisely for the hackathon challenge.
What we learned
The hackathon provided a valuable learning experience, imparting insights into managing real-time data effectively, implementing responsive user interfaces, and addressing security challenges in a decentralized context. Our team's collaborative spirit and adaptability flourished, contributing to our growth within the hackathon's dynamic environment.
What's next for DACP (Digital Asset Control Panel)
In the immediate future, DACP will undergo refinement based on feedback from hackathon judges. I aim to enhance its features in alignment with the hackathon challenge's objectives, showcasing its scalability and efficiency within the specified constraints. There will be work regarding scaling the solution to more sources of data, setting up a p2p network and implementing a data streaming platform using Apache Kafka. The solution will be developed to be more mature in case of handling unstructured data formats by using ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes to filter meaningful data.
DACP is poised not just as a participant but as a standout solution with the potential to make a significant impact in the decentralized data cloud space.
