Novo Nordisk web page, Google searches. VA = Voice Activated
What it does
It uses AI, learning and expert system algorithms based on the real-time context of measurements collected from the patient and, through sensors, of the parameters in the home, work & travel habitats of the patient including available IoT assets, GPS, etc and even events and happenings in the life of the patient in order to optimally and friendly help the patient manage both her/his life and illness from all points of view, including emotionally and counselling apart from treatment and medication thus becoming an integral part of her/his life rather than only deal with illness related factors and behaving like a digital friend, counsellor, expert system, etc.
Although I envisage the VA (Voice Activation) to be done training the app on the user's voice and pronunciation I would keep the traditional data entry using keyboard, arrow controls, touch buttons because in many situations, noisy environments being one example, the latter can prove handier especially if te app. is installed on both a mobile phone and a laptop/desktop leaving it up to the user to choose how to enter data.
An external server can provide different levels of value added services including emergency and rescue plus, optionally, different levels of expert system services based, if agreed by the patient, on the data collected from the patient in which case providing a backup of the data as well.
