Inspiration
We were inspired the lack of convenience and utility that parking structures did not provide for its customers. We wanted to create a web app that helps users find available parking spots and reserve them at their convenience.
What it does
It can track all the available spots in a parking structure. Users can buy parking ticket and get the spot they want. It can also show remaining time for users to check wherever they are.
How we built it
We use Vue, Javascript for Front End framework. We use NodeJS and Postgresql for backend for tracking parking spots and storing data.
Challenges we ran into
Making whole environment works in less than12 hours was tricky. We also ran into a problem of deleting tickets that are expired and making the spot available again.
