Inspiration
Our team is co-founding a blockchain startup in Hue, Vietnam with a mission to ensure that everyone, at least our people, can benefit from the revolution of blockchain technology. Given that tourism accounts for more than 70% of our GDP, we are focusing our efforts on this industry. Our initial idea is to create a Web 3.0 home-sharing booking platform that connects guests directly with hosts, offering a transparent process, improved security, and more effective stakeholder engagement in the home-sharing industry.
What it does
To address the issues faced by users of Web 2 home-sharing booking platforms, our project will create a Web 3.0 home-sharing booking platform. This innovative platform will utilize blockchain technology, enabling on-chain bookings, smart contracts, cryptocurrency payments, tokenization, and NFTs as tickets. By utilizing these technologies, we aim to create a transparent, secure, and cost-effective booking process that provides property hosts with more control and compensation, and guests with more payment options and reliable reviews. Ultimately, we believe our platform will promote greater trust and engagement between hosts, guests, and the booking platform itself.
How we built it
We developed a web 3.0 application on the ETH and SOL ecosystems, utilizing Solidity and Rust to write smart contracts and deploy them on both networks. For the interface, we launched our code on the decentralized network of Spheron.
Challenges we ran into
Our team is facing challenges launching our project during the current crypto winter. We recognize that we need further guidance and support in several areas to overcome these challenges and achieve our goals, which include: Legal and regulatory compliance, Investment and Technical expertise.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
One aspect of our project idea that we particularly cherish is the formation of an exceptional team with shared values and visions. Our team is committed to creating innovative solutions that have a positive impact on society. We hope that we can make a significant contribution to the blockchain ecosystem and realize our vision of empowering our community.
What we learned
Developing a decentralized application was a new experience for us, and we learned a lot during the process. We gained knowledge on programming languages such as Solidity and Rust, as well as the Web3 infrastructure. Additionally, we learned how to collaborate effectively as a team and overcome challenges together. Overall, it was a valuable learning experience for all of us.
What's next for Dimori
Our next steps for Dimori are to focus on improving our coding and implementing missing features. As we await the review from the judges, we plan to use their feedback to further refine and enhance the project. Our ultimate goal is to launch the project soon and continue improving it based on user feedback.
