Inspiration
What inspired us was the upcoming election, which drove us to think about who would win.
What it does
Runs simulations based on current polling data and factors in historical polling errors from elections since 1968 and calculated the percentage chance of each candidate winning based on the simulations.
How I built it
We built our project by using statistical analysis techniques and the python pandas package, and the platform codwhatever to write out our code.
Challenges I ran into
A challenge we faced was with data cleaning, since we had to use poorly formatted data for our model.
What I learned
We learned how to utilize statistical analysis techniques in order to model many outcomes to come to a consensus for our conclusion utilizing the pandas library in Python.
What's next
Seeing whether our model was correct on November 3rd!
