Inspiration As D&D players, we often found ourselves juggling character sheets, initiative orders, and spell effects across multiple apps or papers. We wanted a single, streamlined tool that keeps everything essential at your fingertips — whether you're a player or a DM.

What it does Ultimate DnD Tracker lets players quickly manage their characters’ stats, track initiative and conditions in combat, and access spell details in real-time. It’s designed to be fast, intuitive, and mobile-friendly — no more flipping through pages mid-battle.

How we built it We designed a clean, minimal interface and structured the backend to support real-time updates and persistent character data. It has gamy interface and is much more intuitive than others.

Challenges we ran into Balancing simplicity with feature richness was a key challenge — we had to decide which functionalities to prioritize without overwhelming the user. Ensuring cross-device compatibility and optimizing for both speed and readability on mobile also required a lot of fine-tuning.

Accomplishments that we're proud of We’re proud of creating a tracker that feels natural to use during gameplay — fast enough for real-time use, but flexible enough to support diverse classes and spells. The interface has been tested with real players and received strong feedback for its clarity and ease of use.

What we learned We learned a lot about UX design for tabletop gaming tools — especially how important speed, legibility, and frictionless interaction are during live sessions. We also gained insight into optimizing complex data (like spell lists or conditions) for mobile experiences.

What's next for D&D Tracker We plan to translate the app for english users, add multiplayer sync so DMs and players can share initiative tracking in real time. We're also working on inventory and equipment tracking, support for custom classes, and optional campaign logs. Ultimately, our goal is to make it the go-to lightweight tool for every D&D table.
