D&D Character Creator

Inspiration

1st time D&D players can be scared off by how much they have to read and get through before actually making their character. Also, some players get lost in the weeds of class and don't make a character that reflects who they actually want to play as. So we made a quiz that matches players to their characters.

What it does

Through a branching logic quiz, it matches players with the optimal background and class.

How I built it

We built it with Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, vanilla Javascript

Challenges I ran into

There are D&D apis but none include background, personality traits, etc so we had to make a quick and dirty version that we used to finish one branch line (Acolyte)

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Our quiz kinda works and input into a character sheet!

What's next for D&D Character Creator

Building out the branching logic and making an API that has the background information so it is easier to make the branches. Also give the UI a facelift
