Inspiration

Attacks happen all the time, even on physical systems.

What it does

Simulates a runway landing system and a cyber-physical attack that blackouts the runway.

How we built it

Using QNX on a Raspberry Pi 5 with Python controlling sensors and LEDs.

Challenges we ran into

Tried to build in C but integration and timing took too long for the hackathon.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Got tilt detection working with runway lighting and a timed “exploit” blackout.

What we learned

Learned hardware I/O, Raspberry Pi 5, QNX behavior, and how cyber meets physical.

What's next for CyPhy

Add more attack simulations, sensors, and failure modes for more realism.
