Inspiration

The inspiration for Cypher came from the need for a streamlined, collaborative document editing platform that combines professional-grade features with intuitive usability. Existing solutions often lacked customization or advanced live collaboration, which drove us to create something innovative and user-centric.

What it does

Cypher is a Google Docs clone that enables real-time collaborative editing with professional navigation elements. It features live chats powered by Liveblocks, allowing teams to communicate seamlessly while editing. At its core is the TipTap editor, offering a flexible, modern text-editing experience with support for custom hooks and advanced functionality.

How we built it

Cypher was built using Next.js with the App Router for efficient routing and rendering. Liveblocks was integrated for real-time collaboration and live chat features. The TipTap editor forms the backbone of the editing experience, customized with additional hooks to extend its capabilities. Thoughtful UI design ensures a professional and user-friendly interface.
