Inspiration
Ever since the Colonial Pipeline Incident, I have been fascinated by the real world effects of hacking, and how they can be countered. This led to me forming a Cybersecurity Club at my school. In forming this club, I realized that not many of my peers knew where to start in learning Cybersecurity, so I made this app as a stepping stone!
What it does
This web app allows for users to navigate through a home page and choose on 5 main topics in Cybersecurity. Each module contains buttons the user clicks to learn more, and in addition includes visuals to help describe the lesson.
How we built it
This app was created using a cloud based IDE, namely Replit. It uses HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
Challenges we ran into
I ran into several issues attempting to properly organize the buttons on the user's screen, as well as embedding several visuals in certain positions of a page.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I'm proud of being able to have created an app that can help others learn!
What we learned
I've learned more on how HTML and JavaScript go hand in hand. I've also learned more about these important Cybersecurity Concepts.
What's next for CyLearn
In the future, I hope to make a mobile version of this app to make it easily accessible.
