Inspiration
What it does
CyberVigor is a robust umbrella website encompassing several different topics, challenges, and tools to learn and test different Cybersecurity topics.
How we built it
The website was built using React, Node.js and three different APIs. The first bring IPInfo's Geolocation API, the second being Virus Total's file scanner API, and lastly NewsAPI to fetch current and up to data articles about Cybersecurity.
Challenges we ran into
The project was completely started on Saturday morning, after Friday night's project was scrapped due to me bitting off more than I could chew. Other issues would be Initial trouble connecting the website links to each tother and css files randomly deciding not to work periodically.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am very proud to have this finished project to showcase, when the idea first began, I was not sure if I would be able to complete all the varying ideas like quizzes, articles, tools, that I had in mind, but thankfully all was able to implemented in a well though after project that I am happy about.
What we learned
I learned much about connecting different APIs and their fetching commands. But mostly I learned how to organise a project and effectively use my time.
What's next for CyberVigor
I would in the future to add more challenges over Cybersecurity, maybe even create users account so that they may save their progress. In that case I could create a small certificate to grant those who complete all the challenges!
