Inspiration

Cybersecurity is becoming exponentially more important with the increase of cyber attack and threats around the world. It seems like new reports of password attack, phishing attack, security breaches, and denial of service attacks comes almost on a daily basis.

That is why it is important that all people have a good understanding about various cybersecurity concepts. Unfortunately, many of these concepts seem unintuitive for the average computer user. With this game, I am trying to make cybersecurity more approachable.

What it does

CyberSpace is a simple game where you play as a space traveler. You can walk around and explore the space world. There are numerous cybersecurity-related challenges spread around the world that need to be found and solved correctly. CyberSpace teaches user various important cyber security concepts such as asset management, data encryption and different types of attacks such as Phishing attack, Tracking attack, Password attack, URL manipulation attack, etc.

How we built it

I have built the game using html, css and javascript.

Challenges we ran into

It was difficult to design a game which covers almost all major cyber security concepts.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud that I was able to design an interactive game that teaches user various important cyber security concepts such as asset management, data encryption and different types of attacks such as Phishing attack, Tracking attack, Password attack, URL manipulation attack, etc.

What we learned

I have learned various cyber security concepts and terminologies while developing this game.

What's next for CyberSpace

Will include more stages to gain understanding about more types of attacks.
