I was inspired to create a touch-free way to control computer volume using hand gestures. I built GestureFlow using Python, OpenCV, MediaPipe, and Pycaw to detect hand movements and adjust volume in real time. Through this project, I learned about computer vision, hand tracking, and gesture recognition. One of the main challenges was ensuring accurate gesture detection and smooth volume control under different lighting conditions. This project helped me explore how AI can make everyday computer interactions more natural and accessible.
