Inspiration
Well the inspiration came from the fact that I really needed to get a portfolio done after several years of not actually having had one to call my own. With that in mind, I also wanted the site to have the utility of being somewhat useful in a pinch - and being able to allow me to have access to a curated list of tools both having been made by others and myself listed for my ease of use.
What it does
Simply put it allows the viewers to learn a bit about both myself as well as the wider aspects of cybersecurity and stay informed on some topics.
How we built it
The original site was designed on V0 (while the design had some principle ideas i retained - the majority of the design was changed by the time I had cursor begin the barebones) then had cursor build the barebones, from there it was a mix of just creating the rest of the site in Next js (Astro was a consideration at the time - but Next js was just something I was more used to, and as the site was meant to be deploy while in beta to Vercel - made sense to use the tech stack they developed themselves, just runs nicely). Tailwind css was the defacto for styling - just a great way to add styling for almost every situation.
From that point it was a case of integrating a few of the tools I had made over the years onto the site for ease of use - as well as having a few nice features I found would be helpful to take a quick look at now and again, such as the rss feeds for cybersecurity news.
Challenges we ran into
One issue I ran into rather commonly while developing the site - was CORS rather predominantly popping its head it - causing a lot of headache for a lot of the different features added to the site - leading to having to create more and more server side routes to keep putting those issues to rest - or find ways to work around.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Well one of the nice accomplishments with the site is the fact I actually made it after give or take 5 years of not having made one for myself. Another one which I would comment on is the modularity of the site - after a lot of trial and error, the site is by en large easily able to be modified and the modularity allows for additions of features in an efficient and quick manner.

Just keep updates rolling out weekly, whether it be new features or just . bug fixes.
