What can security team do beside running a CTF or secure code camp for developers? What if you want to involve more than just the developers? We need a game that is simple to setup and flexible.

Inspiration

When I was asked to help creating a fun educational game for our staffs in company wide event, I decided to make simple printout card games. I found that there aren't many tools out there that could quickly create these cards and is flexible enough so I created my own.

What it does

Card generator let you generate cards for any cyber security card game you could come up with and print out on A4 paper using corporate printer. You can then laminate them or simple use them as is. I highly recommend using color printer on thicker paper instead of laminating for best result.

Challenges we ran into

Mostly to come up with the right scenarios that is most fitted to the audience and judge the answers fairly

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Not only the developers but other staff members from different department enjoyed the game too.

What we learned

Everyone like learning about security, it's just the matter of pointing them to the right resource and showing them the rope.

What's next for Cyber Security cardgame generator

Change the cards and make new games for phishing education, etc... you name it
