Inspiration
Mentors explained to us how traditional corporate training is boring and not engaging.
What it does
We made a game where the user is a detective and solves cases from easy, medium, hard and expert. We also added hints and an upload system where a user can upload a screenshot of an email to determine if it is phishing. If a user uses hints, it decreases the amount of points they earn. However, if they answer quickly (< 30 seconds), they get a 5 point bonus.
How we built it
We used React, HTML, CSS, JS, TS, and Node.JS, and deployed using Vercel
Challenges we ran into
Our upload component doesn't work properly as it assigns default values and results to each case. We wanted to add an OCR that would read the screenshot, but didn't work.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of our first prototype, and also getting the leaderboard to work.
What we learned
We learned that making different things work at the same time is challenging.
What's next for Cyber Detective Agency
We wanted to get upload to work and use AI to determine answers. We also want to get real people to test our product.
