Inspiration

I’ve seen too many talented professionals get rejected not because they lacked the skills, but because they lacked the "language of leadership." I realized that while there are plenty of resume builders, there are very few tools that actually critique a CV like a human mentor would. I wanted to democratize access to high-level career coaching, giving everyone the chance to have a Senior Advisor in their pocket.

What it does

CV Advisor PRO acts as a strategic auditor for your career. It doesn't just check for typos; it analyzes the impact of your experience. The app scans your CV, identifies "weak" bullet points, detects missing industry keywords, and provides a comprehensive Employability Score. It then generates a prioritized roadmap of improvements, teaching you how to quantify your achievements rather than just listing your duties.

How we built it

I engineered the core engine using Google AI Studio, leveraging the Gemini 3 Flash Preview model for its massive context window and sophisticated reasoning capabilities. Here some features:

  • 1. Native Multimodal Processing: PDF Intelligence and Direct File Input.
  • 2. Real-Time Conversational AI
  • 3. Advanced Data Extraction & Reporting
  • 4. High-Speed Performance

I crafted a system prompt that forces the model to act as a Senior Career Strategist, applying frameworks like the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to the CV.

Challenges we ran into

I wanted to make sure that the advisor didn't just offer praise, but provided the kind of "tough love" and critical perspective that one would expect from a consultant who charges $200 an hour.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm incredibly proud of the Actionable Reports feature. It's one thing to tell someone their CV is a "60/100," but it's quite another to provide the necessary verbs and power metrics to turn it into a "90/100." It's even helped me significantly improve my CV and focus more on understanding my impact on the projects I develop.

What we learned

I learned that career coaching is as much about psychology as it is about formatting. Users aren't just looking for a better document; they are looking for confidence. Building this tool taught me how to balance "brutal honesty" in the audit with "empowering guidance" in the suggestions to keep the user motivated.

What's next for CV Advisor PRO

The next step is real-time job searching. I want the app to not only audit resumes but also compare them to specific job postings on LinkedIn or Indeed to show users exactly why they are, or are not, a good fit for a particular position. I also think it would be interesting to add a "Mock Interview" module where the advisor asks you questions based on the resume they just reviewed, in order to apply to a specific company, a big tech company like Google, for example.
