Inspiration
We wanted to address real-world environmental challenges such as deforestation, pollution, climate change, and loss of biodiversity and incorporate elements that mirror current ecological issues to educate players about their impact on the environment
What it does
It allows players to enjoy an interactive game as well as inform them about the current effects of pollution in the ocean.
How we built it
We implemented our game using Python's package called Pygame and used its modules. The UI that is seen in the game was made by our teammate which we also implemented using Pygame.
Challenges we ran into
Some challenges we ran into were version control, and getting another IDE to work alongside four other people.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the work we did making the game for the first time and how we were able to work together as a team and divide up the work to make it more efficient.
What we learned
We learned how to use Python's package, Pygame, as well as learning team new team boding skills, as well as learning object-oriented programming tips.
What's next for Cutie Cleanup
For the next step, what we would implement into our function is a timer to provide the user with a sense of urgency providing a metaphor that the world cannot wait for a change and it must be started immediately.
