What it does

The CUTE:ONE record API gives data owners the ability to enforce compliance policies at a piece level, specifying who can see what data field for what purpose, based on their role in the transport supply chain. Importantly, this information now travels with the data, and policies are enforced at all times using the latest deep-data technology from QuantumZero. Recognizes the critical impact of new regulatory requirements Implements end-to-end visibility and real-time information about shipments Programmatic enforcement of complex cross-border regulations for data compliance and information security

How we built it

During the course of this hackathon we have successfully integrated QuantumZero technology with ONE record APIs (on the NE:ONE server) such that each data record is:

Certified: Immutable certificates travel with the data, verifying authenticity of each data record Usable: Data is dynamically transformed into usable formats based on role, and purpose-of-use Trusted: Data is presented to the consumer in a compliant and secure format, regardless of its location. Explainable: Metadata and all information needed for trusted use of that data record travels securely with the data – making each field of the data record self-describing and easy to use.>

Challenges we ran into

Every stakeholder in the aviation supply chain identifies different opportunities or has different concerns when it comes to sharing and using data. Some worry about losing competitive differentiation because now their data can be speedily analyzed. While others want to speed up operational steps that take too long in the real-world, like reducing the time it takes for shipment processing through Customs. The government may demand enforcement of sanctions or safety constraints on shipment of certain goods. Reconciling across a vast variety of stakeholder needs can be a challenge for any industry.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Rapid Integration of our technology with NE:ONE implementation of ONErecord. We were ourelves surprised at how seamless and smooth the entire process of securing data becomes.

What we learned

The challenge of getting shipments processed through customs rapidly was a learning.

What's next for CUTE:ONE record data

More comprehensive integration of QuantumZero technology with NE:One APIs. Also pre-suggesting / templating rules for data protection based on common roles in the aviation supply chain would accelerate deployment even more.
