Custom Music Playlist with Volume control By Hand Gesture

Controlling the volume of playlist with the help of our fingers.

Inspiration

To use AI/ Machine learning in real time that will help us to simplify technology for all ages(Young and old) and make it more accessible within the society.

What it does

You can customize your music playlist by using our product also you can control(increase or decrease) with the help your hand gesture.

How we built it

We code our product in high level programming language python in this case. For this Particular product we have used certain (python) libraries like cv2, time, numpy, math, ctypes, tkinters, comtypes, pycaw.pycaw, pyglet, os and multiprocessing. Also For hand detection we made a separate Hand Tracking module and for adjusting the volume we use cv2, mediapipe and time(that is used to calculate fps).

Challenges we ran into

First challenge was to create a playlist that is fully customizable. The next difficulty was to create and align the play, pause and close button. The next challenge for us was to create a program that can detect our finger tips and align the program with playlist and control it.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Our biggest accomplishment is the success of our project itself. We are so proud to get the type of output that we wanted.

What we learned

We have learned things like aligning two or more different process at once. Also we have learned the Realtime improvisation of computer vision and to create Graphical user interface using tkinter.
