iMessage GamePigeon Word Games: Anagrams & Word Hunt
This is philanthropic because it is a free resource online for players who cannot afford an iPhone to play iMessage only GamePigeon games. Also, there are many features in the paid GamePigeon+ version that our site provides without a cost! There are also many pro-gamers who will find this site useful because they can choose the letters on the board they want to practice playing with.
What it does
You can play the games on a browser, on laptop or phone, with the ability to customize everything from the specific letters, timer length, dictionary, and support for many languages!
How we built it
Used Phaser.js with HTML and CSS.
Challenges we ran into
Word Hunt is not completed. Generating "good boards" for Word Hunt was difficult and still not perfect right now. Japanese doesn't work in game yet for Anagrams!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Working Anagrams game!! Mostly working Word Hunt.
What we learned
This was a very fun project!
What's next for Custom Anagrams and Word Hunt
Finish up Word Hunt functionality, keep adding more languages and dictionaries possible!
