Inspiration

Our inspiration for this project surged under the huge worldwide problematic of the parasitic infection of Cuscuta spp. This parasite also infects crops of our home state Chihuahua and affects crop production in a vast manner.

What it does

Our project is meant to be a treatment for the Cuscuta spp. parasite through the application of biostimulants.

How we built it

We built it through a combination of a phytohormone called salicylic acid and an ethanol dilution of Melia azedarach bark and leaves which contribute by promoting the HR and SAR of the plant.

Challenges we ran into

The information that we required was very limited by the which we had to do extense research to come up with a practical and working idea.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of coming up with a new solution to the cuscuta spp. infection

What we learned

What's next for Cuscuta spp. infection treatment by biostimulants

Next up is the industrialization of the process to form the biostimulant that atacks the cuscuta spp.
