What it does

We can walk the character through an empty plane until it collides with the end goal cube. The player character is a young woman and the camera is placed in her head. The plane is large and the enemy, the Scotty Bear, UCR's mascot is looming in the background as a reminder of the large and unsurmounting and at at times, incomprehensible to the mortal mind. The pressures of pursuing a higher education haunts the young woman, a social commentary on the education and income inequality of women in the modern world.

How we built it

We split the group into 3 different parts, where each member was still responsible for back-end, but with a focus on skills best suited to the individual. Music/Sounds - Duke Pham and visiting guest student Evan Art/Graphics - Jakob Liu, Melody Asghari, Shubham Batra Back-end - Brian Corbita, Garrett Yamano, and Shubham Batra

Challenges we ran into

Enemy AI, it was hard to instantiate objects. Scripting versus coding was difficult to wrap our heads around, as well as abstracting the project. Although we found plenty of ways to compartmentalize our code in the beginning, we ran into many roadblocks that we successfully drove around to only hit more.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Despite the limited time, we are proud of what we have accomplished, and more importantly, what we have learned. Everyone in the team accomplished a lot and if anything learned so much as well as patience with themselves.

What we learned

The difference between C++ and C#, scripting versus coding, graphics, models, how to coordinate a completely different project with github. How to coordinate everyone's different scenes in one project. Print and web resolution, communication, leadership.

What's next for cUrsa

We might continue this project weekly until Rose or Citrus Hack. We had a wonderful team.
