A combination of a schedule builder and Google Maps. After planning your schedule for the day, it will map a complete route to get from one location to the next.
Being new students in UC Davis, we had certain difficulties with navigating the campus while ensuring we get to class in a timely manner.
What it does
Our project allows you to input different events or activities that you are planning to do in a given day. It then organizes all these events into a schedule table as well as map them all out on a GPS in one route
How we built it
We mainly used HTML and CSS for the frontend and Javascript to handle the backend calculations and API use.
Challenges we ran into
Both of us had little to no experience with APIs and this was our first hackathon ever, so it took a while trying to understand the documentation of the GoogleMaps API. One of us also had not used Javascript before, so it was a process to learn everything throughout the development of this project.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were proud that we managed to make the map route everything.
What we learned
We learned the process of implementing APIs in a program.
