Inspiration
After doing some research, we thought it would be interesting to work on currency with data prediction. Importing and exporting commodities are highly profitable and time-effective commerce. Global traders buy in and out commodities like gas, oil, metal, raw materials in a large amount. Millions and billions of profit or loss can be done within minutes and seconds.
What it does
AWS platform provides plenty of datasets on global and domestic commerce, enabling forecasts on global trade decision making. If global traders could get time-effective predictions on goods prices and currency exchange ratio around the world, they would take advantage of the information and make decisions quickly. Thanks to the forecast, we come up with a website to predict international commodity prices, and give alerts to our users when a profitable trading opportunity appears. Challenges we ran into
We had some time zone conflicts and technical conflicts. We lack a front end skill to fully flush out and build the idea out. With only 2 weeks to work on this project, it was difficult to satisfy everyone's busy schedule as well as trying to make to the deadline.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are really proud that after such a short-period of time we manage to pull out our idea.
What we learned
We learned that we need to carefully roadmap everything. Predict some of our potential roadblocks and solution for roadblocks.
What's next for Predict-X
There is a strong potential to make more data visualization to help users understand product currency and opportunities.
