Inspiration - I love exploring art, but the apps in museums are very clunky, and you end up staring at your phone all the time to learn about art. In the age of AI, taste will matter more than ever. The only way to acquire taste is to get experience with art in all of its forms. In order to understand art, you need to know the story behind who painted it, who created it, when he or she created it, why, and sometimes it's very important who paid for it, because art and business are connected deeply.

What it does - the app tells you which galleries are nearby and gives you an overview of major works and how much time you will need to see them. You can type in a work that you see in this museum, and it will display four cards explaining:

  • What is this about?
  • Who created it?
  • Who paid for it?
  • Something particular about it

How we built it - muse

Challenges we ran into - gathering information about art and deploying it into the app takes some time

Accomplishments that we're proud of - it works!!!

What we learned - art becomes very accessible with the right tools

What's next for CurioArt - activate visual mode and better gps positioning to activate narration about a piece that you approach or look at in a gallery or museum
