What it does

Inspiration

Every 40 seconds, someone dies from a disease that could have been caught earlier. I grew up in Terhathum, one of Nepal's most remote districts — where the nearest hospital is hours away and everything online is in English. I built CuraSense-AI because I've seen my own community suffer from preventable diseases simply because they couldn't understand their symptoms in time.

What it does

CuraSense-AI is a multilingual, offline-first AI health agent that detects 100+ diseases instantly based on user-reported symptoms.

How I built it

Built using LLMs for real-time symptom analysis, dynamic multilingual translation APIs, and an offline-first PWA architecture. The multi-agent system includes: Input Agent, Translation Agent, Medical Analysis Agent, Risk Assessment Agent, and Wellness Tracking Agent.

Challenges

• Making AI accurate across Nepali, Hindi and Spanish
• Building fully offline AI functionality
• Resolving Android compileSdk build errors
• Balancing powerful AI features with zero-login privacy

What I learned

• LLMs can be prompted effectively for medical triage
• Offline-first must be planned from day one
• Language is the #1 barrier to health tech adoption in South Asia
• Privacy-by-design dramatically increases user trust

What's next

Voice input, doctor connect feature, 10+ languages, wearable integration, and government health system API integration in Nepal.
