Inspiration

Wanted to create an augmented reality solution for care-providers in the Healthcare space, which allowed one user to quickly see bpm info for patients

What it does

Enables the wearer to view Health information of people through machine vision and a heads up VR display

How we built it

Our system consists of a DIY Quad Copter powered by a Raspberry Pi and Navio2 autopilot sensor kit

Challenges we ran into

Google Cloud Platform for image recognition, video uploading and processing, wifi connectivity issues

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Successfully streams video to Augmented reality display, Directly powered and fly drone through custome built software.

What we learned

Google cloud platform takes many moving compenents and takes a dedicated project manager to synchronize tasks over a group of 4 people.

How to incorporate drone video into an augmented reality landscape, and develope video and VR based mobile applications

What's next for Artemis Remote Cardiac Reader

Implement Lidar to do 3-D mapping, use MDP(Markov Decision Processes) to make the drone avoid obstacles and navigate in-doors.
