Inspiration

We are inspired to relieve the problems that COVID pandemic has caused for the college community. We’re inspired to help increase the number of student enrollment and help student feel more socially and emotionally connected to their college experience

What it does

We made an NFT that will benefit the CUNY college community by providing a digital currency that students can use to pay and earn at the same time.

How we built it

Using Algorand blockchain, IPFS, Javascript, JSON files and Canva for the 3D artwork.

Challenges we ran into

Miscommunication at the beginning of the hackathon among the team and technical difficulty getting familiar with new technology.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Making an NFT collection of significant campus landmarks and buildings to convey a sense of community. I would promote the message that ultimately, having access to campus in-person is a more effective way to instill a sense of community and an incentive to make necessary improvements to academic facilities

What we learned

Campus Connection to provide the highest education value for CUNY Students, boost enrollment, and pride in CUNY by using NFT.

What's next for CUNY NFT Collection

Employ our NFT to a group of students for alpha testing and gather results for the test. After figuring out all the technical bugs that might be associated with it we would launch a beta test and release the NFT to CUNY students.
