Inspiration

I have been in the US for three years and this is one problem I have noticed. There is various cultures in US today, but people here is becoming more segmented at the same time. As an international student who loves cross-culture interaction and knows the importance of having diversity. I decided to solve the problem by creating this application to provide people a more convenient and comfortable way to social with other, to learn and share their culture.

What it does

With CulturalPush, you can look for event base on interest, you can search for tutor, you can also create an event and share it with your friends.

How I built it

Designing interface includes target market analysis and app interface design with Balsamiq Mockup Tool and Photoshop. Developing front-end with HTML5/CSS3 Javascript/ jQuery, and Bootstrap.
Building rest API with Node.js and MongoDB. Adding facebook-login function that allow user link Facebook account with Facebook SDK Adding pages transition animation with ES6 features.
