We were inspired by the realization that the best employees aren't just technically competent—they're culturally aligned, bringing diverse perspectives while fitting seamlessly into team dynamics.

The inspiration struck when we noticed how naturally people reveal their personalities, values, and interests through casual conversation about entertainment, hobbies, and lifestyle choices. We wondered: "What if we could analyze these cultural signals in real-time during interviews to predict not just technical fit, but cultural compatibility?"

This led us to envision CultureFlow—a platform that combines cutting-edge AI voice technology with cultural intelligence to revolutionize how organizations understand and evaluate candidates beyond their resumes.

CultureFlow transforms traditional interviews into comprehensive cultural intelligence assessments by:

Real-time Cultural Analysis: As candidates speak naturally about their interests, our system automatically extracts and analyzes their entertainment preferences (movies, music, books), lifestyle choices (travel, food, hobbies), and personal values using the Qloo API.

AI-Powered Voice Interviews: Our VAPI-integrated AI interviewer "Eliot" conducts natural, conversational interviews that seamlessly blend technical assessment with cultural discovery, adapting questions based on detected interests and communication styles.

Multi-Dimensional Scoring: Beyond technical competency, we provide cultural fit scores, personality insights, and team compatibility predictions, giving hiring managers a 360-degree view of each candidate.

Live Transcription & Analysis: Using AssemblyAI Universal Streaming v3, every conversation is transcribed in real-time, with cultural keywords and entities automatically extracted and processed for immediate insights.

Advanced Transcription Pipeline: Built a comprehensive real-time transcription system using AssemblyAI Universal Streaming v3, with microphone capture, audio processing, and WebSocket connections for live conversation analysis.

Full-Stack Architecture: Developed with Next.js 15, React 19, and TypeScript for the frontend, PostgreSQL with Prisma for data persistence, and Zustand for real-time state management across cultural analysis, session tracking, and user interactions.

VAPI Configuration Challenges: Navigating VAPI's strict validation requirements (specific voice IDs, HTTPS webhook URLs, proper authentication) while building a robust voice interview system that works across development and production environments.
