Culinary Adventure
Cooking cuisines in lockdown can be difficult. Finding all the ingredients for your favorite recipe can be even more difficult. So what do you do? you give up? or can you make something exciting with the existing ingredients that you have?
Enter Culinary-Adventure where we suggest tons-loads of the best recipes for the ingredients that you posses. Yes it works the other way around. It does not tells you a recipe and then the ingredients that you'll need. Moreover, it suggest the cuisines that you can make with the ingredients that you have.
The project
The project uses front-end tech stack, HTML, CSS and JavaScript to build the User-Interface. The main workhorse of the project is mealDb API, which serves the cuisine recipes based on the ingredients. You can know more about this API and other related APIs over here. Also to make cooking more hassle free, i incorporated a voice search, so that you can search by voice while you hands conquer the taste buds. I used the google web-speech API to add voice search in the project.
What's next?!
Though this project aimed to solve lock-down cooking woes, I plan to further include different food ecommerce facilities. Be it ordering the ingredients or finding the nearest hotel which specialises in the cuisines you searched. An online food ordering service is due soon Stay tuned!
