Inspiration
Our inspiration was our love for DnD and how sometimes finding the right die for the occasion can be difficult.
What it does
Our program will take two intergers and give out the appropriate amount of dice with the intended amount of sides.
How we built it
We used AWS for the basic communication to Alexa, then we programmed it using Python programming.
Challenges we ran into
For the first 15 hours of the hackathon we could not get alexa to communicate due to wifi problems. We also had a small hiccup at the start when making our team due to confusion within our school mates.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
On our first hackathon we are proud to say that we are able to produce a working program for the competition.
What we learned
We learned that aws is very complicated, especially if your first time using it is at the hackathon.
What's next for CuHackit2019 Alexa Dice roller
We do not have an idea for furthering this program but we may touch up on it in the future.
