Inspiration
Our inspiration for CueConnect prototype was to find a user-friendly starting point for simplifying existing Cue Sheet processes, eliminating unnecessary repetition and manual re-entry of data. Simple changes and process shifts can be valuable ways of advocating for a reevaluation of what it means to standardize industry approaches to streamlining royalty payments.
What it does
CueConnect uses Dolby.io API and SOCAN Cue Sheets submission API to improve critical functions related to data accuracy and process automation. It is a platform prototype created with the aim of addressing some of the existing issues with Cue Sheets, including but not limited to: process redundancies, manual data entry at multiple levels, and lack of transparency.
How we built it
The project uses Dolby.io API and SOCAN APIs
What's next for CueConnect
Working on CueConnect prototype got us thinking about what the next steps of this project could look like:
- Further improving machine learning capabilities of CueConnect
- Improving data/knowledge networks by making Cue Sheet data available through public APIs
- Adding timely notifications for users/stakeholders when Cue Sheets are submitted
- Exploring blockchain compatibility in terms of novel approaches to payment streamlining
Built With
- dolby.io
- python
- socan
