Cue was inspired by how people often experience stress without realizing it-especially in high-pressure moments like public speaking. We wanted to enhance interoception, helping users become aware of their internal bodily signals in real time.

We learned that wearable technology can translate complex physiological data, like EEG-detected brain waves, into subtle cues that support emotional regulation, helping users sense their stress without being overwhelmed.

Cue is a system combining a neural wristband and smart glasses. The wristband uses EEG sensors to monitor brain wave patterns linked to stress and cognitive load, and the smart glasses deliver gentle, real-time cues that guide users to stay present and connected to their internal state.

The biggest challenge was balancing useful intervention with minimal distraction, while ensuring privacy and responsible use of sensitive neural data.
