Inspiration

I was inspired by the idea of creating a simple yet challenging game—something like a “match 4 colours” puzzle, but with a twist that requires players to stay calm and think quickly in order to survive while defeating enemies. I wanted to build a game that felt simple to play but demanded focus and strategy to master.

What I learned Through this project, I learned how to build a basic game loop, design challenging yet fair gameplay, and integrate visual assets that enhance the experience. I also learned how to manage development steps wisely, especially when working with limited resources.

How I built the project I built this game in less than one day. Due to token limitations with the AI tool I was using, I could only go through two stages:

Basic: Focused on setting up the gameplay and mechanics.

Refine: Added visual assets and polished the game’s appearance.

Challenges I faced The biggest challenge came when I ran out of AI tokens. I tried to manually change the game title using a code editor without affecting other parts of the code. However, this unintentionally disrupted the asset loading process—some images failed to load correctly, causing them to disappear in the game. This taught me how even small changes, like renaming titles or files, can cause critical issues if not handled carefully.
