CU Rideshare

Inspiration

A bad parking situation on the Clemson campus due to construction removing some parking spaces and a growing student population have led to a need for reducing the number of people driving to campus. One way to aid in this is carpooling, which is something this app aims to facilitate.

What it does

Matches people who can drive others to campus with those looking for a ride, comparing schedules and matching people based on schedule similarity

How we built it

Built using AWS, React.js, DynamoDB, and Domain.com

Challenges we ran into

Lack of knowledge of frontend development, integration, and lack of sleep.
