Inspiration

While preparing for the Bangladesh Girls’ Programming Contest 2026 (BdGPC’26), organised by BdOSN, I experienced the challenges of learning Python as a beginner. Understanding programming problems and debugging errors could be frustrating. I wanted to create a tool that could make this journey easier for other beginners like me.

What it does

CtrlPanic is an AI-powered Python learning assistant with three modes:

  • Debug Mode: Understand and fix code errors.
  • Problem Solver: Break down programming problems into simple steps.
  • Code Review: Get feedback on code quality and logic.

It also supports both English and Bangla to make learning more accessible.

How we built it

I built CtrlPanic using Lovable and AI-assisted development, focusing on a simple, beginner-friendly interface and practical learning features.

Challenges we ran into

As a beginner in Python, building an AI-powered application was challenging. I faced technical issues during development and ran into AI credit limitations that affected the three learning modes. Working through these challenges taught me to troubleshoot problems and adapt to limitations.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I’m proud of turning an idea inspired by my own programming journey into a real project. While preparing for the Bangladesh Girls’ Programming Contest 2026 (BdGPC’26), organized by BdOSN, I experienced the difficulties beginners face when learning Python. Creating CtrlPanic to help others facing similar challenges is something I’m genuinely proud of.

What we learned

Through this project, I learned about AI-assisted development, UI design, debugging, and turning an idea into a working application. I also learned that being a beginner doesn’t mean I cannot create something meaningful.

What's next for CtrlPanic

I want to make CtrlPanic more reliable by improving its AI features, developing a better offline fallback, and enhancing its bilingual learning experience. My goal is to make Python learning less intimidating and more accessible to beginners.
