Inspiration
When deciding what to tackle for this Hackathon, the pokerbot challenge stood out to us because we are all junior Computer Science majors, with experience in the field from both internships and classes.
What it does
Our pokerbot uses Q-learning, a type of machine learning that reinforces good outcomes, to beat other players or bots.
How we built it
We used VSCode and python, as well as an agile development methodology.
Challenges we ran into
We had some trouble running the engine, especially interpreting the setup of the files, the input and output, and overall process of the engine.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of how our bot works as well as our newfound friendships.
What we learned
We learned about implementing Machine Learning algorithms in a real world situation outside of the classroom.
What's next for Ctrl-Alt-Elite Pokerbot Challenge
We look forward to participating in more Hackathons whenever able to sharpen our minds and problem solving skills.
