Inspiration

Due to global warming, so many communities and species suffer in various ways. One of the most significant contributors to global warming is carbon output. However, many individuals are not aware of their carbon footprint, and what they can do to mitigate it. That is where our solution, CSmart, comes in.

What it does

CSmart helps environmentally conscious individuals work toward reducing their carbon footprint, through small tasks that are part of their daily lives. Additionally, it acts as a social media platform, where users can connect with their friends to create a community of like-minded environmentally conscious individuals who support each other in completing their tasks.

How we built it

We utilized Figma to build a layout of our app we hope to actually make in the future. We prioritized building the User Interface over the actual code to show personalized user experience and the goal of our project.

Challenges we ran into

Our team is relatively new to programming so we were limited in the ways we could approach our project. But we still wanted to present our idea by using what we learned through Dubhacks beginner workshops. We spend a long time figuring out what was can do to best present our idea by researching and working step by step.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We managed to build a complete beginner-friendly app template that we hope to develop in the future. We also created a way to offset the average person's carbon footprint easily in their everyday lives.

What we learned

We learned that Figma is not as beginner-friendly as we would initially believe. However, we got the hang of it, and learned a lot about creating an intuitive user interface and overall design techniques
